Extroph is a PASBL trainer. He joined the UPNetwork forum in May 7, 2012 to participate in the UPNetwork branch of Fizzy Bubbles. However, in 2013, he joined PASBL along with other people from the competitive forum of Serebiiforums, such as Connor, Ger9119, and Kingothestone. Soon after joining, he went on a temporary hiatus, returning a few months later. He reached Trainer Level 2 in August 9, 2014, and he reached Trainer Level 3 in November 30, 2014.

Outside of PASBL, Extroph is a Senior in high school. He enjoys drawing, painting, and playing tennis. He also likes long walks on the beach. The last part is a joke. He's not really a big fan of long walks, but walks of decent length are fine (doesn't have to be on the beach either). He first started playing Pokemon at the age of 8, with Pokemon Sapphire as his first game. His favorite Pokemon is Haxorus, while his favorite starter Pokemon are Empoleon and Feraligatr.

Pokemon Squad

The Ratite Squad

When Extroph first started his ASB career, he was inspired by a variety of themed Pokemon teams that he saw while browsing Squad Summaries. After a thinking not-so-long and not-so-hard, he decided that he would create a section of his team revolving around Pokemon that could not fly, could only glide, or appeared to not be able to fly. Although most evolved into full-flight Pokemon, their pre-evolved forms retain that theme.

Biography
Napoleon has always been fond of artillery. Learning about his namesake French emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte, Napoleon realized that he must reflect upon the emperor's preferred battle style. Therefore, he trained extensively on performing a Water attack that mimics that of an artillery fire. After many failed attempts, Napoleon finally created an attack that best replicates an artillery fire.
Signature Attack: Scattershot [IC]
Using ice-type energy, Napoleon forms a sphere of chilled water, which is then fired in an arc. Mid-air, the sphere explodes, releasing a flurry of small icicles toward the foe that open small cuts at points of impact. In Realistic, the shrapnel's damage becomes notably worse. Scattershot deals heavy Ice type damage for heavy energy.

Vincent had always been fond of his familiarity with fire. Every chance he gets, he practices the art of using fire. He wished to implement Fire energy to every move he knows, but the ordeal would be too draining for him. Instead, he focused on one attack, his favorite attack, to combine with the Fire type, giving birth to a technique that only Vincent is capable of using.
Signature Attack: Searing Drill [FI]
Vincent jumps high and dives down toward the opponent, spinning in midair as he does. His beak is enveloped in Fire energy that takes the form of a drill, which then deals heavy Fire type piercing damage, along with a 10% chance to burn the foe.

Biography
Hester has been known as a lady who holds a high regard to integrity and honesty. However, this was not always the case. During the summertime of her youth, she has been involved in acts that would be deemed adulterous in the human world. Her shame has been brought up by her teammates, forcing her to wear an A to signify her sin. What was meant to be a punishment became her proudest quality, for she proudly wore her A wherever she went. To further celebrate and showcase the symbol of her sin, she has created a move that allows her opponents to feel the darkness that she felt when everyone turned against her.
Signature Technique: The Scarlet Letter [DK]
Hester creates a red energy construct in the shape of an A in front of her, about the same size as her. The A then condenses into a small sphere before being fired toward the enemy in the form of a laser beam. The beam deals a Moderate amount of Dark damage. Upon being struck by the beam, a scarlet A will suddenly be implanted on the opponent’s body. So long as the A is in the opponent’s body, Dark type moves will deal more damage. If the opponent naturally resists the type, the Scarlet Letter causes Dark type moves to become neutral. If the opponent receives neutral damage from the type, the Scarlet Letter causes Dark type moves to deal 1.2x damage. Damage will remain the same if the opponent is already weak to the Dark type. The Scarlet Letter’s effects last for 5 rounds, and can only be used once per opponent. Due to the sinful origin of the attack, its effects can only be cleansed by Refresh or Heal Bell. The Scarlet Letter requires a significant amount of Dark energy in order to be used.

Biography
Gemini are not like any other Doduos. Having been raised around the chaotic islands in which the legendary birds habitate, Gemini was gradually imbued with the elemental energies of the three birds. At first, Gemini could not handle the legendary energy that leaked inside them. The sudden surge of power almost caused the twins to disintegrate. However, their linked minds allowed them to barely survive, which would not have been possible for other birds. Eventually, the twins managed to develop a way to supress all three elements, not allowing them to surge all at once. After developing a way to supress such energy, they managed to find a way to harness the energy, but they can only use one type at a time.
Signature Attack: Concentrated Tri Attack [Various]
Doduo can choose to make his Tri Attack either Electric, Fire, or Ice type. It will use up energy and will do significant damage of the type used. When using the move, Doduo must be ordered using the format: “[Type] Tri Attack” (ex. Electric Tri Attack). Doduo has the offtype for all three types to use each type twice. However, he can only use Concentrated Tri Attack three times total per match. When using a specific type, there will only be a 30% chance of the status associated with the type to be inflicted. So, there will only be a paralysis chance when using Electric Tri Attack, only a burn chance if using Fire Tri Attack, and only a freeze chance if using Ice Tri Attack.

Biography
Moctezuma has taken the task of cleansing the natural world of supernatural spirits upon himself. His crusade against evil spirits started due to his ability to travel from the natural world to the spirit world. His ability to do so made him believe that the supernatural world is too much of a threat for the living. To slay spirits, he developed a technique that allows other living entities to see spirits and even cause damage to them. He calls upon the Sun God to aid him in performing the technique.
Signature Technique: Spirit Cleansing [FI]
Moctezuma gathers a solid amount of Fire energy and sends it upward to the sky. The sun then turns into a blood red color, causing Ghost type Pokemon in the field to remain in a Solid state only. They are restricted from changing states for as long as the move is in effect. In addition, Ghost types then receive 10% extra damage from physical damage. The effects will last for 5 rounds before the sun returns to normal. Spirit Cleansing acts as a weather move, meaning that it can replace the effects of Sunny Day, Rain Dance, and Hail, and can be cancelled by those moves as well. If used at night, the effects will remain, but the Ghost type will not receive 10% extra damage from physical attacks. The move cannot be used indoors. Moctezuma forgot how to use Sunny Day, and he has enough Fire energy to use Spirit Cleansing twice per battle.

Biography
Raptor was revived as a fossil, making him the oldest Pokemon in the team. When he was alive, the land was harsh and unforgiving, and larger predators ruled over the region with an iron fist. To fend for himself, Raptor relied on his agility and swiftness on land to escape the slower predators. However, there would always come a time when Raptor was cornered and forced to fight. Relying on his powerful yet primitive wings, Raptor constructed a defense mechanism that would force most predators to flee.
Signature Attack: Primordial Storm [RO/FL]
Using major Flying energy, Raptor flaps his wings, sending sharp razor winds that swirl around the opponent. The winds would buffet the opponent greatly, leaving small wounds that become exploitable like Crush Claw spots in slapsticks. In realistic, the move will leave small lacerations all over the target. The move deals major Flying type damage. Raptor also has the ability to add small rock fragments in the attack, making the move deal major Rock type damage for major Rock type energy instead. To signal whether the move is Flying or Rock, the move would be ordered as either 'Primordial Storm - Rock' or 'Primordial Storm - Flying'. Because of the move's similarity to Stone Edge and Twister, Raptor loses access to both moves, or else he would confuse the moves often.

The Contagion Crew

Being a big fan of Poison types, Extroph decided on a section of his team dedicated to Poison types. Although not exactly aiming for a Gym Trainer/Gym Leader position for the Poison type at the moment, he hopes that, if an opportunity does arise, he would be able to specialize in the Poison type.

Biography
Khan is the royal descendant of King Temujin's Nidoking. It was said that Temujin's Nidoking had a horn so great and powerful that it could pierce through 3 layers of steel plates with ease. With the Nidoking as his starter Pokemon, King Temujin conquered the steppes and expanded his territory thousands of miles to the west. The Nidoking participated in both human and Pokemon warfare, and would always end up victorious. Because of the Nidoking's success in battle, it was nicknamed "The King's Spear". Although his ancestor had powerful horns, Khan was not gifted with them. However, not wanting to be the weak link in the royal family, Khan developed a technique that mimics the piercing power of a Nidoking’s horn.
Signature Attack: Temujin's Spear [PO]
Khan stomps on the ground, feeding a Heavy amount of Poison energy to the arena. The Poison energy travels underground, much like Earth Power, and erupts from under the opponent in the form of a gigantic narrow spike. It deals Heavy Poison type damage, and will cause piercing damage in Realistic. The energy spike shatters into harmless energy pieces after piercing the opponent.

Biography
While traversing the strange and unmapped regions of the Pokemon world, I came across a forest that smelled of blood and rotting flesh. Its gloomy ambience and blackened trees hinted toward something supernatural lurking beyond the forest's edge. For scientific purposes, along with a hint of curiosity, I journeyed inside the forest that I came to call by quite a cliche name, "The Forest of Death". After circling the forest a couple of times, I found no traces of a legendary Pokemon or even a new species. Instead, I discovered that the docile dwellers of the forest were specially adapted to drive away both human and potentially dangerous Pokemon. Perhaps it's a way to prevent the human population to deforest their sanctuary, or for predators to hunt them down. I was greatly intrigued with its inhabitants that I captured one sample. Perhaps by using it in battle, I can further understand the true potential of their adaptation.
Signature Attack: Blood Dance [PO]
Sanguine secretes a strange toxin which douses the flowers on his body. The toxin smells strongly of blood, and this aroma will cause all Pokemon which smell it to become scared of Sanguine. This causes both their offensive stats to drop 10%, subject to standard boost stipulations. This abhorrent fear also gives them a chance equivalent to Snarl to be flinched out of using their attacks on the turn Blood Dance is used. Blood Dance uses Significant Poison-type energy and can only be used once per Pokemon.

Biography
Taira belongs to a Croagunk sub-species that resides deep in the jungles of an island south of Hoenn. Due to the overwhelmingly large predators that inhabit the island, the Croagunks adapted a defense-mechanism to avoid being eaten. The noses of such predators are strong and can detect them from their hiding locations, and so staying hidden was the least of their worries. After many years of adaptation, the Croagunks traded their dark blue tone for the much vibrant red and black, to develop a counter for the predators. Their hues now act as a warning and match their new defense mechanism.
Signature Training: Red Alert
Taira, along with the Croagunks of the island, instinctively ooze a poisonous fluid when facing threats. This fluid coats their body continuously, but uses up a light amount of energy per turn. The fluid is highly poisonous for any Pokemon aside from inorganic/Steels. Therefore, Taira now has a 30% chance to inflict Toxic poisoning any time his skin comes in contact with an opponent, whether he’s attacking or being attacked physically. Taira is now red and black, making him easier to detect visually. If struck by a Water type/ Fire type move that covers most, if not all, of his body (Surf, Heat Wave, ref's discretion really), Taira loses the ooze for 3 turns. The water washes away the poison and clogs his pores temporarily, while the fire evaporates the highly volatile toxins. Taira's ooze is negated by weather caused by Rain Dance or Sunny Day until the weather dissipates.

Manda is a unique Ekans. His appetite seems to be only for man-made objects, and his body is specialized to gain nutrients from inorganic material. The main reason for his insatiable appetite for inorganics is his radioactive mutation, transforming the acid in his body to become very corrosive for inorganic material. He uses his acid in battle, especially when he’s hungry for inorganic… Pokemon!
Signature Attack: Chemical Destruction [PO]
Manda uses significant Poison energy to inject, spray, or spew an acidic substance at the opponent. The attack will not deal any damage, but will greatly poison inorganic Pokemon (including Ghosts), similar to how Toxic affects organic Pokemon. Organic Pokemon are unaffected by the attack. Inorganic Poison Pokemon resist the acid, and will be unaffected as well.

Biography
Kidomaru has always been an artist. He has created artworks with his spider webs, varying from intricate design to portraits of potential mates. However, no one ever seemed to care. They believe that his webs are a threat to the society of Bug Pokemon. Sure, other Pokemon get trapped in his web, and sure, he occassionally eats some that get trapped, but that’s besides the point. One day, Kidomaru came home to find out that someone has destroyed all his spider web art. Enraged, he vowed to use his skill with the web to something more violent. He began to use his web to fashion weapons, and he based these weapons off of the ones that other Bug Pokemon use. The one that intrigued him most was the Beedrill’s stinger. To recreate such a technique, he dedicated his time mastering the creation of needles, and Sticky Gold Needle was the result.
Signature Attack: Sticky Gold Needle [GD]
Kidomaru expends significant Ground energy to fashion a needle inside his mouth. He then spits the needle out at a tremendous speed, in which it will then expand as it escapes the mouth, growing to become as large as an Ariados. The needle deals significant piercing Ground damage. He has enough Ground energy to use this move twice per battle.

Fallout is the result of years of water pollution along the urban areas of Yupien. He takes shelter among the sludge of humanity, basking in the wasteland of factories. A large portion of the pollution poured onto his home is tar, and he has grown to merge with the substance. Because of his familiarity with the substance and its properties, Fallout was able to create an attack that specializes in using tar.
Signature Attack: Boiling Tar [PO]
Using Good Poison energy and Minor Fire energy, Fallout spews a stream of thick, gooey tar, dealing moderate Poison damage. The tar is extremely hot and has a significant chance of burning the target. The tar will also stick to the user, similar to Mud Shot, slowing down the opponent if covered greatly. So long as the tar is stuck on the opponent, the next Fire type attack used against it will deal 1.2x damage. Once a Fire type attack is used on the tar-coated opponent, the tar will disappear along with the flames.

The rest of Extroph's Pokemon do not have a theme. Rather, they are a mixture of Extroph's favorite Pokemon, as well as some that do well in PASBL and have been added for that purpose. Although they do not have a theme, they are valuable members of Extroph's team, and some are used very often due to their skill in battle.

Helen, though beautiful, believes that her skill with magic and the arts should be appreciated more. Often she conceals her beauty inside a skull helmet, in which she decorates with paintings. However, people were still always too busy complimenting her physical appearance more than her paintings, so she decided to put an end to it. She coated her paint with black magic, and painting a calavera pattern to her skull, forever making it look like a candy skull. By using black magic, she hopes that people would fear her rather than love her, because for her, it’s better for them to fear her art than to love her appearance.
Signature Training: Calaveras Makeup
Helen’s skull helmet is painted to look like a calavera. The paint is magical, and cannot be taken off by any move. Due to the paint’s magical qualities, all of the attacks that involve her skull helmet (Skull Bash, Headbutt, Iron Head) has a 30% chance of scaring the opponent and interrupting their action. In addition, Helen’s Leer and Growl are more potent. However, the magical qualities of the Calaveras Makeup causes Helen to use up a Light amount of energy each round.

Biography
Hercules is a divine hero in the Pokemon world. He has received the favour of Arceus, and was therefore tested by the god Pokemon. Arceus spoke to Hercules, and promised him the power of ten Diggersby’s if he is able to complete ten labors. In fear, Hercules accepted the quest, and went on his way to finish the labors. The first of his labors was to slay the Golden Luxray. The lion’s hide was as tough as gold, but Hercules managed to slay the Luxray by prying the mouth open with his ears and stabbing it through the mouth. After completing this labor, Hercules traveled to an abandoned swamp, where a Hydreigon was waiting. The two forces clash, but Hercules was victorious once more. The third labor was more of wit than of strength, for Hercules had to catch the mythological Yupienian Gogoat. The Gogoat was said to move faster than an arrow, but Hercules managed to catch it by slowing the goat down with a heavy dose of mud. Then came the fourth labor, in which Hercules had to capture an unstoppable Emboar. The Emboar was a juggernaut, and it could not be stopped by anything. However, to cause the Emboar to stop its eternal rampage, Hercules dragged it halfway under the earth, so that it may forever run, but in one place. The fifth labor, unlike the previous ones, was humiliating and was meant to dishearten the hero. His task was to clean the Distortion World, which was unlimited in space and forever dirty. Giratina promised to fulfill the sixth labor if he could clean the Distortion World in one day. Hercules refused the offer and instead closed the portal to the Distortion World, but claimed to have cleaned it anyway. The sixth labor was to slay a nest of Bronze Skarmories. Hercules struggled to climb the tower of a mountain that the Skarmories resided in, but his Bounce ability allowed him to eventually reach the large nest. The Skarmories were slain in their sleep, for Hercules used Strength to throw the nest down the mountain without aking the birds up. The seventh labor was to defeat a Bouffalant in a ramming competition. Hercules knew he could not defeat the Bouffalant in a ramming competition, so he deviced a plan. Before the Bouffalant made contact, Hercules extended one ear forward and coated it with Strength. The other ear, also coated with Strength, was prepared to uppercut the Bouffalant. As soon as they made contact, the extended ear halted the Bouffalant’s charge by a split second, which was enough for the other ear to send the Pokemon flying. The eighth labor was to steal the winged Rapidashes, which were taken captive by cryptid hunters. Using his Agility, Hercules managed to sneak inside the stable and free the Rapidashes. The ninth labor was to quell the battle between the three legendary birds. Hercules managed to create a large instrument that replicated the roar of Lugia, which therefore caused the birds to retreat back to their respective isles. The final labor was to capture the Cerberus, a three headed giant Houndoom. Using both his wit and strength, Hercules managed to encase the Cerberus in a cage made of mud and boulders. After finally completing the ten labors, Arceus granted him the power that was promised to him.
Signature Attack: Divine Hero's Strength [XX]
Hercules gathers a significant amount of energy toward his ears, allowing him to be able to carry an unusual amount of weight. However, if the Pokemon weighs less than Hercules, he only gathers a good amount of energy. Unlike normal Strength, Diggersby’s Divine Hero’s Strength allows him to lift and throw Pokemon up to ten times his weight (935 lbs/424 kg). All Pokemon within this weight limit can be thrown as easily as if they were the same weight as him. The weight limit decreases by 1 after every two uses of the move (EX: the first two uses of Divine Hero’s Strength will decrease the weight limit to nine times his weight, the next two after that will decrease it to eight times his weight, etc). The weight limit plateaus at five times his weight. Divine Hero’s Strength, unlike Strength, deals significant damage all the time, plus possible fall damage if applicable.

Boone is a native of the Yupien Swamplands. He proclaimed himself king of the swamp, and any who dared to challenge him ended up either inside his belly or ended up losing a limb or two. The thick and grimy waters of the swamp makes it hard for many aquatic dwellers to swim. However, Boone’s mastery of such waters allowed him to develop a technique to propel himself for a short time. This technique allowed him to predate on other Pokemon who were too slow to navigate around the thick swamp.
Signature Attack: Muddy Jet [GD/WA]
Using Mild Ground energy and Minor Water energy, Boone surrounds himself within a rotating jet of polluted water. The jet propels him forward at an incredible speed before slamming into the enemy for Mild Ground damage. The mixture of mud in the technique makes the jet hard to control for Boone, meaning that he cannot use the move to outmaneuver an incoming attack. He always has to go for the shortest route toward his opponent such that he cannot use Muddy Jet in an arc, unlike Aqua Jet. Muddy Jet protects Boone from incoming Electric attacks, halving the damage dealt and causing it to deal neutral damage. Thunder Wave will fail to work if used while Boone is using Muddy Jet. Boone has a significant amount of Ground offtype energy to allow him to use this move three times per battle. Boone can no longer use Mud Sport and Mud Slap.

Biography
The Axew evolution line are known to be awful in comparison to other Dragon types. Siegfried was made known of this by many of his opponents, whether they were taunting him or just straight up trash talking him whenever possible. Although Siegfried is a righteous Pokemon and does not care much for what anybody says, he still cannot help but feel inadequate at times, especially when he loses. If Siegfried can be described by one word, that word would be 'competitive'. After a series of defeats, Siegfried realizes the main cause as to why he never wins. Opponents utilize his lack of long range attacks, and they mock and weaken him from a distance. But that will soon change. Siegfried conjured a technique that will even the playing field once and for all...
Signature Technique: Dragon Prison [DR]
Using major Dragon energy, Siegfried stomps on the ground, summoning the power of ancient dragons that came before him. The souls erupt in the form of purple fire, and the opposing Pokemon is inescapably dragged closer to Siegfried, until they are only separated by 5 feet. The fire then forms a circular wall of purple fire around them with a varying diameter (5 feet if Axew, 8 feet if Fraxure, 10 feet if Haxorus) and a height double the height of the larger Pokemon battling (for example, if Siegfried, as an Axew, is facing a Joltik, then the height of the wall is twice Axew's height; if Axew is facing an Onix, then the height of the wall is twice Onix's height). The wall is covered at the top by swirling flames. The construct resists any form of escape, but will not harm any Pokemon that comes in contact with it. The construct cannot be destroyed by any form of attack. It is impossible to latch on to the walls, as they are made of magical flames.

Biography
The Onix family that Ouroboros originated from believed strongly in strengthening their hide through their survival against weather and threats. The more scratches and scars they receive, the more they were regarded as an irreplaceable member of the herd. The leader of the herd, Ouroboros' father, was in charge of training the young Onixes, and believed that a strict training regiment is needed to whip them to shape. As a tradition, the young Onixes must head to the desert next to their home mountain for a period of time, and to return alive and with as much battle scars as possible. Ouroboros, the smallest in size among the young Onixes, believed that the tradition was outdated and pointless, for only half the young Onixes survive. Looking at the situation from a larger point of view, Ouroboros believes that the survival of the herd relies on the future generation, and sending them off to die defeats the whole point of survival entirely. However, being the heir to the leadership position, Ouroboros decides wisely to keep his mouth shut, so that he does not disgrace his father. The day finally comes when the young Onixes must venture off into the unknown sands and survive. They will face extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, along with unforgiving weather. To top it off, the desert was notorious for being home to hostile Pokemon who attack foreign entities. The young Onixes were quivering, including Ouroboros. However, they must follow the protocol, and they wandered off into the vast desert, separating as they first touched sand. Ourboros, having been left alone, snakes through the sands, observing the desert's wildlife from a distance. He could see fellow Onixes already engaging in battle against the locals, but that did not pressure him at all. In truth, Ouroboros did not care about gaining scars or scratches. He just wanted to survive. After thinking about the situation at hand, he decided that his best bet at survival was to remain underground. Although the desert was filled with different types of Pokemon, Ouroboros was confident that none could dig as well as he could. He sunk deep in the sand until he could feel the bedrock underneath him. There, he slumbered peacefully, shifting ever so often to remain limber. With nothing in the desert to feed on, Ouroboros decided to feed on the very sands that engulfed him. For an extended period of time, this tactic kept Ouroboros alive and healthy. However, at one point, he began to awaken from his hibernation, wondering as to how many days have passed. As he surfaces entirely, he was greeted by the bright sun an the blistering heat wave that the desert offered. One thing he noticed was that his rocky exterior had been weathered away by the sands, and is now slightly smoother and softer in texture. His smoother texture, however, made him snake through the sand much faster, and traverse underground with less effort. This physical transformation made him ecstatic to come back and announce his survival. As he heads back, however, he notices various Onix corpses lying around, many of which were fellow peers. His long journey home were filled with questions that remained unanswered. How long was he gone? Was he the only one who survived? Perhaps the herd could answer his questions. As he returned to the mountain, he noticed that the sanctuary was desolate. No Onixes were in sight. Instead, the mountain was polluted with human homes made of wood, and artificial human trails made of sand and dirt. None of the Onixes remained. With nowhere to go, Ouroboros returned to the desert by himself, looking back with grief as he did.
Signature Training: The Sands of Time
Ouroboros has been 'reborn' after his slumber, shedding his Rock-type skin. He now possesses only the weaknesses and resistances of a pure Ground type. His familiarity with Rock type moves is retained. He is able to use three Stone Edge's worth of Rock type energy, but must use 10% extra energy to perform such moves. Although he's now only Ground type, he still takes 1.5x damage when struck by Fighting type moves.

Biography
During my research concerning the Solosis line, the species' similarity to animal cells became my topic of interest. I wondered why the species looks a lot like a large cell, even if they're comprised of cells themselves. Months of research led me to the hypothesis that Solosis utilizes the cell's efficiency on a larger scale due to the design's success in the past. However, upon further study, it seems that some Solosis derived from single-celled plant cells that relied on the sun for sustenance. Some of these Solosis kept the cell wall that their ancestors had. These Solosis are more sluggish in movement and are heavier, but it seems that their translucent walls are very tough to break or pierce through. I collected a sample Solosis for my own team to further observe the cell wall's true purpose.
Signature Training: Cell Wall
Bynhildr has an extra coating of translucent and solid protection. It's very thick and smooth, causing grappling and wrapping attacks to be harder to pull off. Its thick protection reduces both physical and special damage by 10%. However, Bynhildr is no longer protected by weather damage, and Toxic will not take an extra turn to take effect. Bynhildr is 1.5x heavier than usual, and will move slower than normal Solosis.

Biography
Augustus is an excellent and capable leader, capable of increasing his allies’ morale and discouraging his opponents. One howl alone can drive an army to their deaths without protest, all for the sake of pleasing him. Although it seemed as though Augustus was born with such skill, this was not the case. Augustus was born weak and feeble, the smallest cub among the group. However, with this challenge came his desire for power. What he didn’t accomplish with pure power he accomplished with intrigue and words. Becoming a leader was his chance of survival, and he did whatever it took to survive. Eventually, he became the leader among his brothers, and is now held as a leader by his teammates.
Signature Technique: Pax Augusta [NO]
Augustus howls, expending heavy energy as he does. In turn, the arena is instantly filled with an ambience of glory. Opponents become more reluctant to attack, as if they are affected by a Roar from a large, intimidating opponent. Pax Augusta causes Augustus and his allies to use up less energy when using moves of the same type as theirs. In addition, they become more enthusiastic. The effects of Pax Augusta lasts for three rounds and can only be used twice per battle.

Kaguya is the queen of a thriving civilization of Cleffas deep within Mt. Moon. Being directly from the moon, Kaguya is blessed with the ability to change the landscape around her, forming towers of beautiful crystal to house the Cleffas. Her ability to terraform was limited, however, as she cannot seem to build crystalline structures without tiring herself out. Aside from using her powers to create beautiful underground architecture, she uses them to fend off invaders as well.
Signature Attack: Royal Crystal [GD]
Using heavy Ground type energy, Kaguya shoots a beam toward the opponent’s feet. As soon as the beam touches the ground, spiky pink crystals quickly sprout from the ground, dealing heavy Ground type damage. The crystal turns into dust as soon as the damage is dealt, or as soon as it reaches its maximum height of 5 feet. The crystal can sprout on any solid arena surface. Alternatively, Kaguya can choose to directly aim the beam at the opponent using good Ground energy, in which it will deal good Ground type damage, and will also leave crystals on the opponent for 3 turns. The crystal acts as a freeze status, and can be broken off like one. Royal Crystal acts as a Ground type attack, and so Kaguya is limited to a Clefairy’s offtype Ground energy.

Biography
Kisame is a bounty hunter, hunting other Dragon types for profit. His life has been spent wandering around the harsh desert sands of Yupien, making him used to the desert’s dangers. During his time in the desert, Kisame mastered the use of the sand around him to use in battle. He created a technique that allows him to greatly exhaust his prey, so that bounty hunting would become an easier task.
Signature Attack: Sand Shark Jutsu [GD]
Gathering Ground- type energy, Kisame wreathes himself in a shifting cloak of sand, before issuing a sharp cry. The sand bends to his will, forming a striking image of a shark around him, before rushing forwards and crashing into the body of the foe. This will cause the foe to lose Heavy energy thanks to the intense dehydration affecting the body, before the sand returns to Kisame and restores his energy by the same amount. Sand Shark Jutsu is considered Ground type for the sake of type effectiveness, and is subject to diminishing returns as are all Draining moves.

Biography
Caesar is a hellhound that originated from the depths of the underworld. Although he appears to be a Houndour in the world above, he’s really a spawn of the underworld itself. His coat is blacker than normal, and the bones that decorate his body are blood red, along with the usually-orange parts of a Houndour’s body. Being a loyal servant of the underworld, Caesar is capable of a technique that is unknown to any other Pokemon.
Signature Defense: Tartarus' Flames [FI]
Caesar uses heavy Fire type energy to summon a coating of black fire, which then envelops his whole body. The fire is extremely hot, and will burn any Pokemon who come in contact with it. Caesar is immune to the fire, along with other Fire type Pokemon. For 3 turns, the fire will remain. The flame strikes such an intimidating sight that all Fighting type moves directed at Caesar cost 1.2x more energy to perform. When the fire dissipates, Caesar cannot use the move until 3 turns have passed.

Beowulf is a famous bear-warrior from the North. He has made a name for himself through his various demonslaying works, earning him riches and land. Although he has received many worldly prizes, he remains a warrior by heart, seeking glory in battle. Whenever he battles, he collects a memorabilia to remind him of his own deeds. One such memorabilia was a giant’s sword, taken after defeating a lake demon. Now, whenever he’s in battle, he can choose to summon the sword, so as to make him and his enemies remember his valor.
Signature Attack: Sword of the Demonslayer [FT]
Using heavy Fighting energy, Beowulf summons a gigantic sword, 20 feet long and 1 foot wide. He then uses his fighting spirit to swing the sword with great speed. The attack deals heavy Fighting type damage, and will cause trauma from the blunt force of the swing. There is a 20% chance of the attack causing a large laceration as well. The size of the sword will not stagger Beowulf when swinging, meaning he can deliver the attack with ease. After slashing, the sword will disappear, and will not be able to be used until 2 rounds have passed.

His heart is pure, and his only goal in life is to protect and serve his warlord. Because of this, he has trained in Conjuring spells, especially those that give him benefit in battle. Wiglaf’s strength against Dragons was displayed when Beowulf found himself in a one-sided battle against a rampaging Salamence. Wiglaf’s power over Dragons, along with his skill in battle, allowed him to defeat the Salamence and prove his worth to his warlord, making him the right-hand man of Beowulf since then. Because of his feats, he has donned the nickname ‘Dragonslayer’.
Signature Defense: Dragonslayer [ST]
Using significant Steel energy, Cubchoo summons the blessings of his ancestors. He is then cloaked in holy armor for 3 turns, weakening the effects of Fire, Dragon, and Steel type attacks. Attacking moves of the three types listed will only deal 80% of the usual damage while Dragonslayer is in effect. When the effects disappear, it will take Wiglaf 2 turns before being able to use Dragonslayer again. He can only use the move twice per battle.

Because of this, Grendel is more eager to battle, and has trained himself to maximize his strength.
Signature Training: Bane of Heroes
Grendel is more enthusiastic when it comes to battling than other Slakoth/Vigoroth/Slakings. He reacts quickly to attacks without being ordered, and his punching attacks are 10% stronger than usual. When he receives less than a decent amount of damage in a round, he gains a slight boost in physical attacks. Sakon-Ukon are two separate entities. While the dominant entity, Sakon, controls the body, a twin entity, Ukon, lives within his body. Often, Ukon does not make an appearance unless they reach a high level of power, such as evolving. He takes the form of Zweilous’ second head, and Hydreigon’s arms. Because of their combined power, they are able to perform demonic techniques that one person is incapable of doing. One such technique is the summoning of the Rashomon, a demonic gate into the underworld.
Signature Technique: Rashōmon [DK]
Using Heavy Dark energy, Sakon-Ukon summons a large, thin, translucent square 18” in front of him. The square has a demonic face extending out toward the opponent. The square acts similar to Barrier in that it will block a Major amount of damage. Once the square breaks, the demonic face will roar loudly and will spew out a stream of spikes toward the opponent, dealing a good amount of typeless damage. Due to the demonic nature of the Rashomon, it will drain a light amount of energy from Sakon-Ukon for every round that it is in effect. Also, due to the Rashomon’s strain to the body, Sakon-Ukon can only use the technique once per battle.

Jirobo is a master brawler, using his fists to demolish towers and castle walls. Ruins of castles and landmarks are said to have been caused by Jirobo’s constant practice with punching, but no one has actually seen him at work. However, it has been rumored that his ghostly punch is so strong that it will leave you winded after being punched. Perhaps it is just the sheer strength of the punch, but maybe there’s an actual technique behind it.
Signature Attack: Arhat Fist [FT]
Jirobo coats his fists with significant Fighting energy and punches the opponent. The punch will deal moderate Fighting damage, but will leave the opponent winded, causing them to feel as if they used their last move twice, following the same stipulations as Spite. Jirobo can only use Arhat Fist once per opponent.

Biography
Tayuya has been called the Siren of the Skies. Her melodies have led migrating avians astray from their destinations, only to be led to a violent death moments later. It is said that she sacrifices these victims to the one who gave her such powers. Scholars and cryptid hunters believe that Tayuya’s powers derived from ancient Dragons who possessed a Voice that could combat Fairy Pokemon, though using such power to sing would drain their life energy almost instantly. Noibat’s flute allows her to mimic the Voice of the ancients, but the mechanics behind it are currently unknown.
Signature Attack: Demonic Flute [FL]
Tayuya spawns an energy flute using a heavy amount of Flying energy and plays a melody. The melody deals a significant amount of Flying damage, but its demonic tune causes it to be super effective against Fairy types. Tayuya can only use Demonic Flute twice per battle, and it cannot be used consecutively in one round.

Amaterasu was named after the Sun Goddess of Japanese Shinto. Her appearance is completely different from other Charmanders, possessing white scales and a bright yellow flame on her tail. Because of her scales, sunlight tend to reflect off of her, causing her to shimmer slightly in the sun. Due to her evident relation with the sun, she has created a technique to match her namesake and her appearance.
Signature Attack: Solar Spear [FI]
Amaterasu fashions a single ray of sunlight into a spear using considerable Fire energy. She then shoots this spear forward at an incredible speed, dealing Good Fire type damage. Due to the attack’s speed and power, it breaks through all forms of screens with ease. Under the effects of Sunny Day, Amaterasu uses only good Fire energy and it deals considerable Fire damage. However, if Rain Dance is in effect, or if the sun is not present (such as nighttime or indoors), the attack will need heavy Fire energy to be performed.

Susano’o was named after the Sea God of Japanese Shinto. Unlike others of his kind, Susano’o possesses a much darker shell, almost to the color of a Carracosta’s shell. His skin is also different from others, being a darker shade of blue. Although his appearance is purely aesthetic, he believes that his coloration provides another meaning. He’s convinced that his shell is magical, imbued with the blessings of the actual god, Susano’o, and is therefore more powerful than others. To prove this, he has created a move that specifically uses his shell to attack his opponents, therefore allowing him to prove his shell’s mettle.
Signature Attack: Shellshock [WA]
Susano’o withdraws himself within his shell and propels himself toward the opponent while spinning rapidly. He tackles the opponent using his shell, dealing significant Water type damage for significant Water energy. Due to the force of the tackle, it can give the opponent localized paralysis (20% chance).
